Wildcat u-12 team will be holding registration for the spring season from January 1st-February 15th. Practice begins March 1st. We will be doing the Route 66 Tournament in Joplin. A spring league(either Joplin or NWA) and Ray-Pec Tournament. Check the wildcat u-12 page for more specific info in January.
There are now team pages developed for the Metro United teams. Parents can use these pages to get information or updates. There has also been a Twitter account set up for the U12 team (metrounitedu12) which you can follow for updates as well as game time updates if you can’t be there. If there is a U14 parent who is interested in maintaining a Twitter account for the U14 team let me know. I will update the U14 page on this website, but again if there is a U14 parent who is interested in maintaining this page, I can get you in touch with Jerry Baker, who will be able to help you get started. I am starting to move the team farther along towards our goal to become an A level club. I have begun to talk about and demonstrate proper body mechanics and executing proper technique in our shooting and passing. I am committed to covering this until it becomes a habit. I am looking for the players to commit to be the best player they can possibly be. I am happy with the progress of the team and feel we need to continue to challenge and motivate them to gain skill and confidence.
I recently attended the Neosho-Seneca football game. I was disappointed with the Neosho fans because when the Cats’ were struggling they were blaming the refs and when a Neosho defender pushed an Indian receiver 10 yards out of bounds into a chain link fence, only one gentleman behind me criricized the unsportsmanship of our defender. It is my opinion that if we blame the ref or say the other team cheated we excuse our players from working harder when they struggle. If we appreciate the other teams good play it shows our team their is a higher level of play we are trying to attain, and gives them something to work toward. I want to be a class organization that wins with skill and not loses because we have an excuse to.
No practice tonight. Our next practice will be Thursday at 6:oo at the YMCA.

Great job all players that have competed in the tournements the last two weekends. I have seen a steady improvement in our knowledge of the game. Our passing and ball handling has been alot better. Continue the hard work in practice and the effort in the games.
The games scheduled for Saturday May 16th have been cancelled. Johnny Adame is uncertain if we will make these games up. Check here next week for updates.
